A passo d'uomo

Scenarios and instruments for the study of the social behaviour of distributed, mobile, aunomous interacting entities.

Solutions for more liveable cities, thanks to the prospects offered by new technologies for the simulation and observation of the movement of citizens in urban spaces. Several expert researchers in this multidisciplinary area (involving Architecture and Urban Planning, Sociology, Artificial Intelligence, Psychology) participated to the meeting. Different research methodologies have been discussed, as well as sociological imèplications, current issues and future developments, aimed at a different and innovative conception and design of urban spaces and shared everyday environments, such as streets, shopping centers, stadia and transit stations. The meeting has also presented an analysis of possibilities offered by new technologies to improve the safety of environments characterized by a high pedestrian density.
