FLEXIBLY BEYOND

FLEXIBLY BEYOND

The aim of the Flexibly Beyond project is the development of tools and methodologies for enhancing the employment percentage of population, focusing in particular on risky categories like women and people over 55 years old. The project is co-funded by European Community and is guided by Politecnico Calzaturiero, a consortium of Small and Medium Enterprises located in a small regional cluster of the Italian Region named Veneto, between the provinces of Padua and Venice. These SMEs are mainly involved in the design and manufacturing of shoes and clothes. The CSAI is collaborating in the project analyzing and demonstrating how the Case-Based Paradigm can be profitably adopted to store and reuse the competence and knowledge of older (and, consequently more experts) workers in tackling critical problems concerning production processes as well as training beginners. To this aim, the CKS-Net framework, based on the integration of storytelling and CBR methodologies has been proposed and adopted, as shown in the Figure.
